When people decide they simply have to lose weight, they typically look to ordinary diets to meet their needs and goals.  Perhaps they might actually try some other complex or gimmick diet plans in order to drop the pounds.  The thing is that these ideas may work – but not nearly as quickly as someone might like.  Basically, many diets only provide a pound worth of loss in a given week.  If people don’t end up with the kind of loss they’d like, they tend to quickly abandon their goals.  This is one reason some turn to the cabbage soup diet – the promise of much more rapid weight loss.
